How do I monitor my network data usage?

The Activity Center in the eero App shows how much data each device or profile uses on your network. All eero customers can view live data usage (updated every 5 seconds) and weekly usage. eero Plus subscribers can also view daily and monthly usage with detailed graphs and reports.

Note: Live data usage updates every 5 seconds to help you identify when a device is using more bandwidth than expected.

What's the difference between uploaded and downloaded data?

Your data usage graphs and reports show the total amount of data consumed on your network as the sum of uploaded and downloaded data over time. Uploaded and downloaded data will differ between devices based on how they're used.

Upload is data sent from your device, like sending emails, posting to social media, or sharing files.

Download is data received by your device, like streaming videos, receiving emails, or loading web pages.

How do I view data usage by device?

Devices on your network may be using more data than expected. With eero Plus, you can see how much data each connected device uses over the course of a single day, week, or month—current and previous. Visibility into your data usage over time makes it easy to identify trends and anomalies.

With live data usage, available to all eero customers, you can see exactly how much data each device is currently using. Live data usage refreshes every 5 seconds to give you the most up-to-date view into what's happening.

How do I view data usage by profile?

If you have created profiles on your network, you can track data usage across all devices for each profile. This makes it easy to spot patterns and help form healthy digital habits.

Note: When viewing data usage by profile, any device connected to your network during the selected timeframe that has not been added to a profile will be listed under "Other Devices."
