Are all eeros the same?

eero offers several models of routers and extenders, each model offers different capabilities and features, but all eeros are interchangeable and can be used together in a network. It is important to note that a gateway eero with an ethernet port must be used to connect to the modem, but once it is installed, any combination of eeros can be used to extend coverage.

The currently available eeros are as follows:

eero Max 7

The eero Max 7 is the first WiFi 7 eero that supports up to 10 gigabit speeds to more of the home, while reducing latency with the addition of 320 MHz channel bandwidths. For customers who want the latest in networking technology, have hundreds of connected devices in their network, or want to maximize the usage of their provider's multi-gigabit internet plans, eero introduces the eero Max 7.

eero Pro 7

The eero Pro 7 is our newest generation of tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router built for households that require constant connectivity and high speed. Supporting wired speeds up to 4.7 Gbps and wireless speeds up to 3.9 Gbps, the eero Pro 7 is made for households that use multiple smart home appliances, connected devices, and other electronics that require high data throughput and low latency.

eero 7

The eero 7 is a Wi-Fi 7 router ideal for customers with multi-gig internet plans who want an affordable way to upgrade their home network to take advantage of the newest in wireless technology. The eero 7 is capable of delivering wired speeds up to 2.3 Gbps, and wireless speeds up to 1.8 Gbps, making it well suited for 2.5 Gbps internet plans.

eero Outdoor 7

The eero Outdoor 7 is our first eero unit designed for use in outdoor environments. It brings WiFi 7 and eero’s expansive WiFi range outdoors, combining power and speed with durability and reliability. The eero Outdoor 7 supports wireless speeds of up to 2.1 Gbps, making it a great choice for anyone who wants to bring the power of WiFi 7 to their backyard, and beyond.

eero Pro 6E

With eero Pro 6E, you can future proof your connectivity with hardware  that powers the latest WiFi 6E-enabled devices. Unlike some mesh WiFi systems, eero Pro 6E does not dedicate the 6 GHz band to backhaul, allowing your Wi-Fi 6E devices to take direct advantage of the additional 6GHz bandwidth. The eero Pro 6E provides up to 2,000 sq ft of coverage per device, and supports network speeds up to 2.3 Gbps (a gigabit wired and 1.3 Gbps wireless). The eero Pro 6E is compatible with all supported previous eero models and with two auto-sensing Ethernet ports, it can be used as the gateway of an eero mesh WiFi system, or a wireless extender to expand your existing eero network. Combining eero Pro 6E devices with older generation eero devices on the same network may result in reduced performance across your network. You will also need to use a WiFi 6 (or in Canada, WiFi 6E) compatible connected device to enjoy the full benefits of the eero Pro 6E.

eero Pro 6

eero Pro 6 uses the power of WiFi 6 to deliver fast speeds, support for 75+ connected devices, and coverage of up to 2,000 sq ft. per device. The eero Pro 6 is compatible with all of our previous eero models and with two auto-sensing Ethernet ports, it can be used as the gateway of an eero mesh WiFi system, or a wireless extender to expand your existing eero network. You will need to use a WiFi 6–compatible connected device to enjoy the full benefits of the eero Pro 6.

eero 6+

eero 6+ packs a punch by supporting speeds up to a gigabit and coverage up to 1,500 sq. ft per device. eero 6+ works as a smart home hub so you can easily control compatible Zigbee devices with Alexa (account linking required). eero 6+ offers premium performance—without the premium price tag.

eero 6

Thanks to its two 10 GbE and eight 2.5 PoE-capable 2.5 GbE ports, it can also provide power to a number of additional PoE devices, further increasing your flexibility by supplying up to 100W of pooled power for PoE-enabled devices.

eero Pro supports three wireless bands simultaneously (tri-band WiFi). As the gateway of an eero mesh WiFi system, the eero Pro has two auto-sensing Ethernet ports. One connects directly to the modem and the other port provides the option to hardwire devices like an Ethernet switch, printer, or video game console.

eero

eero is the little router with a big wireless footprint. This economical option still gives you the great speed and coverage across your home that you’re used to.  eero offers up to 1500 sq ft of coverage per device and can be a great addition to expand an existing mesh WiFi network. With the two auto-sensing Ethernet ports, it can also be used as the gateway of an eero mesh WiFi system. One connects directly to the modem and the other port provides the option to hardwire devices like an Ethernet switch, printer, or video game console.

eero Beacon (add-on)*

With eero Beacon, simply plug each unit into a wall outlet to easily expand coverage of your existing mesh WiFi network. Add as many eero Beacons as needed to whole-home WiFi coverage.
