You can customize which push notifications you receive about network changes, new devices, and software updates. Navigate to Settings, then Notifications in the eero App to toggle individual notification types.
Notification types
- Permission updates: Enable to be notified whenever another user responds to an admin or network transfer invite.
- Network status: Enable to be notified whenever there is a change in connectivity status, such as when service is restored.
- New Devices: Enable to be notified whenever a device connects to the network for the first time.
- Software updates – 12 hours reminder: Enable to be notified 12 hours before your network updates.
- Software updates – 15 minutes reminder: Enable to be notified 15 minutes before your network updates.
- Update installed: Enable to be notified when your network has finished updating.
What additional notifications are available with eero Plus?
eero Plus subscribers can enable these additional notifications:
Data Usage Activity: Enable to receive periodic notifications about your network's data usage. You can set these notifications to occur every week or every month.
Weekly Security Activity: Enable to receive a weekly email about security events like Threat Blocks.
How do I manage software updates?
The Software updates page shows the currently installed version of eero OS on your network. You can check for available updates, view detailed information about new firmware, and start manual updates.
eero automatically installs eero OS updates when your network is normally the least busy. For more control over when updates occur, use Preferred update time to set a specific time of day, minimizing disruption during waking hours.
