Historical Data
eero Plus offers users the ability to examine their historical network data usage in detail, enabling them to identify devices that are using abnormal amounts of data, either via upload or download. Data is updated in real time to provide the most accurate analysis of network traffic and bandwidth usage. See our article on understanding your network data usage for more information.
Internet Backup
eero Internet Backup allows you to set up a nearby mobile hotspot or external wifi network as a backup when your primary network goes down. Once enabled, eero Internet backup will automatically search for and connect to the designated hotspot to keep you connected until any issues are resolved. You can find out more about eero Internet Backup by reading our dedicated article.
Ad Blocking
eero Plus includes a robust ad blocker that blocks most types of ads automatically when connected to your eero network, eliminating the need for third party ad blocking software. Our ad blocker functions by blocking ads at the DNS level, making it more effective than many traditional ad blocking services.
Advanced Security
A key feature of eero Plus is the advanced security suite, which provides active threat protection against potential security threats, and blocks them as needed to ensure that you and your family are protected from viruses, trojans, spyware and phishing when browsing the web.
DDNS
Set up your network for secure remote access by enabling DDNS exclusively through eero Plus. Use the eero App to manage your DDNS settings from anywhere, ensuring that you can access connected devices on your home network from wherever you are. For more information on this advanced feature, see our dedicated article on DDNS.
Content Filters
Protect your family from unsuitable content on the internet by enabling content filters powered by eero Plus. Create profiles tailored to each person in your family, and specify the content that is most appropriate for them with ease. For a complete overview and setup instructions, refer to our article on eero Plus Content Filters.
Block Apps
eero Plus offers the ability to block specific apps by name or category (i.e. streaming, etc.) by utilizing existing family profiles. When combined with Wifi scheduling, this enables you to restrict access to certain types of content during key hours of the day. Refer to our article on the Block Apps feature for more information.

Availability
eero Plus is available to all retail customers. Limited ISP customers with eero hardware have access to a limited version called eero Secure.
There are some cases where eero Plus isn't supported:
- An eero network that is located outside of a country where eeros are sold
- Your ISP offers a version of eero security software bundled with your services.
- Bridge Mode: There are some eero Plus features that do not work properly in bridge mode. This includes the DNSFilter features, historical data usage, and internet backup.
- If your eero network is bridged to another router or upstream device, many other advanced features are not available. If you'd like to utilize these features, we recommend un-bridging your eero network.
Additionally, eero Plus is not compatible with networks that utilize eero for Business. For more information about eero for Business, see eero For Business FAQs.
Pricing
If you are interested in adding an eero Plus subscription to your account, you can opt for a monthly plan or a year-long subscription at a two-month discount. For information on pricing in specific regions, please see our eero Plus page on the eero website.

What types of devices can eero Plus protect?
eero Plus is designed to protect all the devices on your network—not just those that have a user interface or the ability to install software. With eero Plus, you can know that all your devices are protected from external threats.
At this time, eero Plus doesn't cover devices that are on the guest network.
Is my network still secure without eero Plus?
eero Plus is not required for an eero network to continue to receive our security updates. Without eero Plus, eeros are designed to be safe and secure. A key differentiator with eero is the fact that we have put a significant amount of time and focus on your network’s safety and security, starting with us building our own hardware and software. We frequently test the security of eero networks and even reach out to the security community to have them try and expose any holes for us to patch.
However, your safety and security online go beyond just your network. At any time, our computers, phones, or any other device can be exposed to other online threats, including malware and unsafe content. eero Plus ensures that all the devices on your network remain protected and vigilant. This means both you and those on your network are safe from websites that may contain threats like malware, as well as protecting everyone in your home from offensive and inappropriate content.
