How to use Network Nicknames

What is a Network Nickname?

A Network Nickname is a unique identifier that helps you distinguish between multiple networks within your eero app.  For example, you could have a guest house with its own network, but it’s not easily distinguished from your primary network name.  With Network Nicknames you can now name one network Guest House, and the other Network Main House but keep both with the same network SSID name, making it simple to switch between networks!

How do I use Network Nicknames?

Network Nicknames can be setup by following these steps:

  1. Open the eero app.
  2. Tap on ‘Settings’.
  3. Tap on ‘Nickname and Locations’.
  4. Set a Nickname for your network and it’s location
  5. Tap ‘Save’.

That’s it!  You can now distinguish between multiple networks by nicknames, rather than SSID. If you need any assistance please don’t hesitate to reach out!
