The Home tab shows your network status, connected devices, profiles, and security features. It's the first screen you see when you sign into the eero app.
How do I view my network overview?
The top of the Home tab provides an overview of your eero network, showing your internet connection status, the current activity of each eero on your network, as well as any Amazon Echo devices that are connected to your network through eero Built-In.
Your network's name is displayed at the top of the page, along with a connection status message and any nickname you have assigned to the network. The (blue plus icon) in the top-right corner allows you to add a new eero to your network or replace an existing eero.
How do I check my internet connection and run a speed test?
Tapping Internet will take you to a connection status page, where you can view details about your current connection status and the results of the latest speed test conducted on your network. You can also run a speed test on your network at any time from here.
Note: The eero App's speed test is a measurement of the hardwired Ethernet speed coming from your internet provider equipment directly to your gateway eero. For more information about eero speed tests, see What do my eero App speed test results mean?
How do I view details about my eero devices?
Tapping an eero will bring you to a subpage where you will find more details about the eero. These include its connection status, IP address, and identifying information such as the unit serial number. The page will also allow you to change the location name of the eero.
What are notification cards?
Notification cards display up-to-date information about your network to help you keep track of recent changes, new features, available updates, and more.
Tapping a notification card will take you directly to the corresponding relevant section of the app. In the case of the "Update available" card seen above, tapping it will bring you to the Software Update page where you can initiate the update at your convenience.
Tapping a notification card dismisses it from the Home tab. Alternatively, tap the X button in the top-right corner of the card to dismiss it without taking further action.
How do I view devices on my network?
The Home tab displays a summary of the devices currently and recently associated with your network. Currently connected devices show up as Online, while recently connected devices that are not active or in sleep mode will show as Offline.
Additionally, devices that have connected to the network most recently will appear below the device count, providing quick access so that you can review any potentially unfamiliar or unrecognized devices that have joined your network.
Tap Devices to view more information in the Devices tab, where you can find more details about the devices connected to your network, such as their IP addresses, network speed, and latest date of activity. For more information about the Devices tab, see What is the Devices tab in the eero App?.
What are Profiles?
Below the Devices section, you'll see all the user profiles that you have set up. You will also be able to add new profiles to your network from this section.
Profiles empower you to manage all the devices on your network. Once a profile has been created, you can set schedules, administer manual pauses to control internet access, and apply specific content filters with eero Plus for the devices within each profile.
Note: The Profiles feature is not available when bridge mode is enabled. For more information about functionality in bridge mode, see What advanced features do I lose access to if I put my eeros into bridge mode?
How do I access security and privacy features?
If you are subscribed to eero Plus, the last section of the Home tab provides quick access to premium security features that can be configured to your needs. If you are not subscribed to eero Plus, the app will display an infographic with additional details about the features available.
For networks that utilize eero Business, configurable options and settings will be displayed in this section.
