What features are included in Amazon Connected Home
- eero Built-in: eero Built-In allows you to use select Echo devices as mesh nodes and access points on your eero wifi network. This will enable your connected devices (laptop, cellphone, etc) to connect to the internet through your Echo devices, extending the wifi coverage in your home. - Frustration-Free Setup: Frustration-Free Setup makes it easier to connect devices in your home. Eligible devices can automatically connect to your network using your saved wifi password and reconnect if you change it.
- Alexa Smart Home Hub: eero 6 systems feature a built-in Zigbee Smart Home Hub, making it easy to connect compatible Zigbee devices with Alexa. So you can control lights, locks, plugs, and more, without the need to buy separate hubs for each device.
- Device Name Sharing: With Device Name Sharing, if you’ve named a connected device in the Alexa app, your eero app will automatically use that name too. Device Name Sharing makes it easier to identify connected wifi devices and keep their naming in sync.
- Alexa Voice Assistant: With Alexa Voice Assistant, you can control your wifi network and connected devices using your voice with the Alexa app or an Amazon Echo product - You can ask Alexa to perform various tasks, like pausing devices or profiles, adjusting eero status lights or managing your guest network without having to open the eero app.
How to Enable Amazon Connected Home (already signed in)
- Open the eero app and tap Settings at the bottom of the screen
- Tap on Network Settings
- Tap on Amazon Connected Home
- Read through the page and tap Connect to Amazon
- You will see an Amazon sign-in screen and a link to review Conditions of Use and Sale and Privacy Notice
- Enter your Amazon sign-in credentials and click Sign-in
- Amazon Connected Home is enabled -- Now you can configure each included feature
How to Disable Amazon Connected Home
- Open the eero app and tap Settings at the bottom of the screen
- Tap on Network Settings
- Tap on Amazon Connected Home
- Tap Unlink Amazon at the bottom of the screen
- Read through the text on the following screen to confirm your action -- tap Unlink Amazon again
- All of the Amazon Connected Home features will be disabled
