Amazon Connected Home is a suite of features that connects your eero network with your Amazon account. It lets you automatically connect new devices without re-entering your wifi password, control your network with your voice, and sync smart home devices with Alexa.
What features are included in Amazon Connected Home?
- eero Built-in: eero Built-in allows you to use select Echo devices as mesh nodes and access points on your eero wifi network. This enables your connected devices (laptop, cellphone, etc) to connect to the internet through your Echo devices, extending the wifi coverage in your home. Learn more about eero Built-in.
- Frustration-Free Setup: Frustration-Free Setup makes it easier to connect devices in your home. Eligible devices can automatically connect to your network using your saved wifi password and reconnect if you change it. Learn more about Frustration-Free Setup.
- Alexa Smart Home Hub: eero 6, eero Pro 6, eero 6+, eero Pro 6E, eero PoE 6, eero 7, eero Pro 7, eero Max 7, eero Outdoor 7, and eero PoE 7 systems feature a built-in Zigbee Smart Home Hub. This makes it easy to connect compatible Zigbee devices with Alexa. You can control lights, locks, plugs, and more, without the need to buy separate hubs for each device.
- Device Name Sharing: With Device Name Sharing, if you’ve named a connected device in the Alexa App, your eero App will automatically use that name too. Device Name Sharing makes it easier to identify connected wifi devices and keep their naming in sync.
How do I enable Amazon Connected Home?
If you're using your Amazon Login to sign into the eero App, you already have access to these features. If you’d like to set up Amazon Login, see: Using your Amazon Login with eero.
If you'd prefer not to use your Amazon Login, you can still use Amazon Connected Home features:
- Open the eero App, and tap Settings in the bottom-right corner
- Tap Advanced networking
- Under Integrations, tap Amazon Connected Home
- Tap the Connect to Amazon button
- Sign into your Amazon account
- After signing in, a pop-up message will appear inviting you to use Amazon Login. Tap Skip in the top-right corner
Note: Switching to Amazon Login is permanent and cannot be undone.
How do I manage Amazon Connected Home?
- Open the eero App, and tap Settings
- Tap Advanced networking
- Under Integrations, tap Amazon Connected Home
- Tap eero Built-in, Smart Home Hub, or Frustration-Free Setup to individually manage each feature
How do I unlink my Amazon account?
You can unlink your account anytime in the eero App under Settings. If you purchased your eero subscription through Amazon.com (or an Amazon country site) and unlink your Amazon account from your eero network, you will lose access to the eero subscription.
- Open the eero App, and tap Settings
- Tap Advanced networking
- Under Integrations, tap Amazon Connected Home
- Tap the Unlink Amazon button
- Tap Unlink Amazon again to confirm
Note: To stop using Amazon Login, you'll need to delete your eero account and create a new one.
