As part of our efforts to continuously improve eero Plus, we are teaming up with Malwarebytes to bring their Identity Protection tools to eero Plus, allowing subscribers to integrate its robust suite of features into their eero network while still keeping their existing subscription.

What is Identity Protection?
Browsing the internet carries increasing risk as technology continues to develop, especially when handling important records such as financial data, personal information like names and addresses, and similarly sensitive personal details.
Information such as credit scores, social security numbers, and personal email addresses can be used to impersonate an individual. This practice is referred to as identity theft, and can be extremely damaging if it occurs. This threat compounds if the thief has additional information in their possession, and can be difficult to resolve if left unattended.
Identity Protection offers identity protection to prevent your data from falling into the wrong hands in the first place. They offer robust monitoring and reporting services to identify potential misuse of your personal information, as well as identity protection insurance, providing peace of mind when using the internet.

How do I sign up?
Identity Protection is owned and operated by Malwarebytes, so its features are integrated into Malwarebytes’ existing suite of network protection services. As mentioned above, Malwarebytes, Identity Protection and other premium services are included with the cost of an eero Plus subscription. Make sure to sign up for eero Plus before proceeding.

If you have not already done so, you will need to create a Malwarebytes account to use Identity Protection. If this is your first time using Malwarebytes or eero Plus, please follow the instructions listed below:
- Tap on Identity and device protection within the main Plus page on the eero App.
- Review the information on the following page, then select the option to activate your Malwarebytes account in the App.
- After creating your account, you will be prompted to enable identity protection, link your financial, social media, and email accounts for monitoring, and to enable your $1 million insurance guarantee.
- You will be able to send invites to up to 20 devices, allowing additional family members to receive and configure identity protection.
If you are already have a Malwarebytes account, or if you have set one up, you can manage identity protection features using the following methods:
- Tap into the Identity and Protection section of the app, allowing quick access to see what features are currently enabled or disabled.
- Quick links to the Malwarebytes portal, where reports on protected accounts, credit score monitoring and dark web scan data are located.
